The Museum is currently in the process of redesigning the Estrella Exhibit. A comprehensive redesign of Estrella, addressing structural wear and tear, improving durability, and enhancing the aesthetic appeal for contemporary audiences.

The current outfit, showing significant deterioration from extended use and interaction, requires replacement with robust, child friendly materials. The revised design will prioritize a new lap structure for a cushion-based construction, moving away from the original design better accommodate accessibility, minimize climbing and damage. The chosen materials will be durable, to ensure longevity and minimize maintenance requirements.
